Car wax acts as a protection from the various harmful environmental effects. A properly applied car wax not only provides a glossy look but also prevents peeling off the original paint and offers resistance against minor scratches and stains. The very first step before applying a wax coating is to wash your vehicle thoroughly. There are a multiple of reasons to park your car away from the extreme weather because direct sunrays and a strong current of wind will wipe off the layers of applied wax before you could even relish the results.

The Steps

Use a damp wax sponge by applying a large coin sized wax in small circles. Repeat the process often and remember where you originally started from? Be careful when applying wax near the joints of car doors and hood as the accumulating wax can harm the levers. After waxing the entire vehicle in patches, take a soft cloth to start cleaning the wax from the initial start point. While cleaning, you will notice that the wax will gradually build up on the cleaning cloth. Therefore, shake the cloth as often as possible. After polishing, you might notice tiny round spots. You must get rid of the remaining residual wax. The third and the final step is to take another piece of clothing and clean the entire surface of the vehicle to reveal a brand new version of the car you bought.

However, the contents of car wax like carnauba or other natural waxes do not damage the cars. You can easily apply the wax on your car. For the long lasting high gloss of the cars, it should be regularly applied on the car.

Some important things need to be considered for the perfect application of the car wax. The best wax is the carnauba wax which is easily applicable.

In California, cars are much more than just cars. People spend a lot more money on dressing up their cars than they do here. They put on shiny rims and lighted license plate holders. A car is a reflection of who you are. A car is a way to get around on the East Coast.

I went through a car wash the other day after work, and was told by one of the employees who waxed my car that I was a bad car owner. I was shocked. After all, I get regular oil changes and follow my maintenance records. The guy applying car wax, however, believed I was not so good. After he was finished with the car wax, he came over to give me an earful.

There are some waxes which may contain abrasives. The car’s paint can be hazed and there can be scratches left on the surface if the wax contains abrasives.

Most experts consider Carnauba wax to be of very good quality. Carnauba Wax is more expensive but is better than the others because of its ability to stick and being easier to buff. However, hard work is still required during the application no matter how good the quality of the Car Wax is.
