Car wax is a car cosmetic that gives the car a glossy finish and protects the paint of the car. A wax with UV blockers prevents the harmful effects of the UV rays of the sun on the car surface. Small scratches will be found on the car because of the daily use of the vehicle and dust accumulates in these minute dents and a coat of wax prevents dust from getting embedded in the scratches. A good car wax regimen needs three steps. more info..

A pre wax polish should be applied first to cure defects followed by a sealant to fill gaps and finally coat the car with wax for a shiny new appearance. You can buy car wax in the form of a rub on wax or a thick liquid and you can even spray it on with a sprayer. You can buy different types of car wax.The chemicals used in synthetic wax give the car surface an unrivaled satin finish. The best effect is achieved by a blended car wax of both chemicals and carnauba wax. A periodic coat of car wax is the best makeup technique for the continued good looks of a car.

I grew up in the Southwest and I always remember my dad waxing the car. Car wax is not something people have in their garages at home here in New York where I now live. Here cars are not the big deal they are to people in California. People spend a lot more money on dressing up their cars than they do here. They add chrome wheels and custom door lock knobs.

You will need a sponge of some sort. A big sponge is best to cover the large surface area of the car. You can use a natural sea sponge or a synthetic sponge, the choice is yours! Now that you have your sponge, you will need a sturdy bucket. As long as the bucket holds at least two gallons of water, you can use just about any sort. A bucket and sponge would be no good, however, without some car wash soap!

Using specially formulated car wash soap is important.

Car polish and car cleaner polish are not the same thing. Car cleaner polish is used to remove bug splatter, bird droppings, and minor scratches. Car polish provides protection that can last as long as one year between coats and provides a deep shine to the car.

Car polish should be applied only after you have washed your car. Polish your car in only one spot at time.

Due to the mass commercialization and the popularity of car polish, it is readily available in stores. To better appreciate the use of car polish, it should be understood that the polish acts like a sand on the surface of the vehicle. The only major difference is that it is an abrasive substance that sticks to the outer frame and makes it shiny. Certain natural colors like red are exposed to the natural sunlight that makes them vulnerable to rust. Car polish acts to preserve the car paint and protects it from getting dull.

For your Lamborghini or Ferrari, they are perfect. Yes that is right, they are most suited for exotic and luxury cars since they may cost you nine thousand dollars, more or less. Now for that much, for two weeks you will have to leave the car at the car wash. It is like presenting your car with a two weeks vacation to a top resort. For two weeks and for that kind of money your car will have a 61 stages Pinnacle Miracle Detail.

Although many times when the weather conditions are not very favorable, the importance of a car wash is overlooked, but considerable amount of time should be taken out for washing it in order to free it from dust and grime. It proves helpful and beneficial, not only in order for keeping the car clean but also for the maintenance of its exterior paint. When considering a car wash, you have two options, that are that either you can wash the car by yourself, or hire the services of a professional car wash company. Whether you wash your car by yourself or go for a professional wash, in both cases the significance of the car wash supplies used for washing the car cannot be denied.

The car wash supplies, also at times lightly referred to as the car equipment include car soaps, tire cleaners, glazes, polishes, car waxes to name few.

Car wax has to be reapplied regularly and is not permanent. A good quality car wax generally stays on for around 3 to 4 months thus reapplication of car wax every 3 months would be optimum.

Before a car is waxed it is preferred to get it buffered with an electric buffer to remove minor scratches and nay irregularity in the paint, after buffering only it is advisable to wax the car which should be repeated every three months. The essentials to start waxing your car is wax, a clean soft towel and a small sponge. Also your car needs to be clean and dry before you start waxing it.

If you apply car polish to your vehicle once every three to four months, the body of your vehicle will last years longer, you will spend less money on paint jobs, and your car will bring more money for a trade in. I like to work it right into my routine, because I know that it will save me money in the long run. I like to use the following holidays as a reminder to wax the car: Valentines Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day.

On a bit of a side note, washing your car regularly is also very important. Actually, car washing is just as important as waxing, especially if you live in an area where the roads are treated with salt in the winter.

I save up quarters in the car that I get as change and use them to run through the car wash. It does not cost much and only takes about five minutes per week, but it will add so much life onto the car. But back to car polishing.

Applying car polish is actually very easy to do. Make sure that your car is clean and dry before you begin applying any car polish.

Car polish is applied to the surface of a car to erase scratches and smooth out the finish of the car. You can have car polish done professionally at a body shop or car wash or do it yourself.

Car polish should not be confused with a car cleaner polish. Car cleaner polish removes leftover debris such as bug splatter, bird droppings, and minor scratches. Car polish provides protection that can last as long as one year between coats and provides a deep shine to the car.

To tell for certain, watch how water beads on your car. If the drops are over half an inch wide or if the water forms sheets instead, your car needs another coat of wax.

What is the best way to wax a car?

Start by washing and drying the car. Water and wax combine badly, so make sure the car is completely dry before you wax. If you parked your car in the sun to dry it, move it to a shady spot and let it cool off before you start waxing, since heat can bake the wax onto the car, with ugly results.

Before waxing, park your car on a cool spot away from the rays of the sun and never expose it to cold weather.

The Steps

Just take a small amount of wax on a damp sponge and apply it in circles. Apply wax to different sections but remember the path you took. It is also important to realize that wax in the cracks or seams along the hood and doors can harm the functioning of these car parts. The next step is to wipe off the wax by a clean cotton cloth.

Think about if someone spilled coke on your car. You probably would not let it sit there on your car. You would go wash your car. The same concept applies for car wax. The car wax gives the car the protection from those dangers.

A damp sponge, and a soft terry cloth rag are all you will need for waxing. Dip your dampened sponge into the wax, keeping a dollop the size of a half dollar coin on there.

Beginning on one side of the car, rub on the car wax with small circular motions. Work your way around the entire outside of the car using these circular motions, reapply wax to your sponge when necessary. Take care to avoid the cracks between the hood, doors and trunk.

Self-Serve Car Wash: The best thing about a self-sevice (generally coin-operated) car wash is that you’ll use much less water than you’d normally use at home. For an average sized, not-too-dirty car, a self serve car was uses up only 12 to 14 gallons of water. Plus, if you’re using a self-serve wash with your own products, you can choose what to use. One thing you don’t get with a self-serve car wash, however, is the lovely convenience of washing your car without even leaving the house– or getting it all done for you at a full-service.

Professional Service Car Wash: A full service car wash has a lot of pros.

Polishing using a car wax is a time taking yet a very enjoyable activity for vehicle owners who can not bear with even the lightest of surface imperfection.

Car wax and polish were considered to be different earlier. Polish is used for cleaning purposes basically and on the other hand car wax takes care of the oxidation of the vehile metallic parts. But now days new ambivalent chemicals have arrived that can fulfill the above purpose on single application.

Car wax ameliorates the gloss and depth of the painted surface which now appears to shine more and the new layer of wax gives more protection to the surface.

One of the best ways to protect the paint of your car is to go for the car wax. It is used after washing the car on regular basis. After the application of car wax you will realize that the beauty of the car has enhanced.

Car waxes are manufactured by various ways and additives are added to increase the functionality of the car wax. The selection of the best car wax should be based on the best brand and the quality of the product.

Secondly, it saves the car from environmental pollution and dust present in the atmosphere. Thirdly, car wax is water resistant therefore; you can save your car from moisture. It also increases the life time of the car and it makes your car look more appealing. Car wax of high quality brings a special shine to the car and therefore, quality car wax should be the right choice.

Most of the people are always confused for the selection of the car wax because they argue that it can be dangerous for the car.

While waxing a car may require a little cash but make no mistake that it will not only help your car from getting rusty but also give it an exhibition style look. Almost every dealership has a polished car because it increases its resale value.

A large proportion of new drivers overlook the important instructions on the polish container. These instructions are written to safeguard your precious investment and may contain an important clue that can prevent the vehicle from getting damaged. Polishing a car in a very cold or warm climate is a sure recipe for disaster.

The major benefit of using it is that it is very simple and easy to apply. For ever lasting gloss of the car, a car wax is the best option.

For getting all of the benefits of car wax, some important things need to be considered. Carnauba car wax is considered as the best as compared to the cheap and inexpensive ones. Secondly, the easier the application of the wax, the more regularly it can be used.

The best way to keep your car looking new and fresh is to wash and wax it regularly. Your goal should be to try and wash your car at least once per month and apply car polish once every three to four months. Car washing prevents build-ups that will eventually ruin your car-bugs, salt build up, etc. Using car polish or wax protects the paint from fading and makes your car look shiny.

I like to add washing the car to my weekly routine.

The function is not restricted only to removing contamination from surfaces but also removing surface imperfections and smoothening the surface. Some vehicle owners love to polish their vehicles with car wax and enjoy freeing the surface from imperfections and giving a vehicle a new shiny look.

Earlier there was a considerable difference in a car wax and polish. While car wax takes care primarily of the oxidation of metallic parts, polish is a cleaning compound that removes impurities from the paint which prepares it for waxing, sealing, or protecting. But now days new ambivalent chemicals have arrived that can fulfill the above purpose on single application.
